The hyper-competitive, high-performance culture we live in demands us to show up at our best every day. It asks us to stay sharp, work long hours, think fast, be resilient to stress, and adapt to change. Because even when everything around us is on fire, we have to be able to “hold it together.”
The problem with holding ourselves together is that it requires a tremendous amount of energy. Our body uses a lot of muscle and brain power to “hold it all in” and then sends us the bill: blocked backs, stiff shoulders, bad digestion, looping thoughts, feelings of stress and anxiety, sleepless nights, and even burnout.
Through a combination of physical touch and verbal guidance, I teach you through the body to release the tension stored within and recognize and stop the patterns that generate it. This way, you can transform trapped energy into creativity, turn “holding it together” into “going with the flow” and empower yourself to live a personal and professional life of more purpose, grace, and ease.
I’ve been there.
I started out as a documentary filmmaker and to be the best in my field, I believed that hard work, determination, and a ‘winning mindset’ were all I needed. I pushed and pushed… until I hit a wall, ending up completely drained, anxious and feeling lost.
I embarked on a journey of mental and physical recovery which took me across the world. I was lucky to study with exceptionally gifted teachers, healers, and coaches from different traditions, gaining far more than I had initially sought.
I learnt how to reconnect with our most precious resource—our body. By listening to the body’s wisdom, I learnt how to transform stress and fear into resources, gained clarity and purpose in my life and more depth in my relationships.
Now I’m honoured to walk beside others on their personal journey. It gives me great joy to hold somebody’s hand through somatic therapy sessions and plant medicine journeys knowing they’re the ones leading the way to their own truths, at their own pace.
